Sweet Darkness by Rich
Logsdon
There is nothing sweet about Sweet Darkness, the latest feat from skilled writer and
editor Richard Logsdon.
Darkness, a collection of fifteen short stories for the very mature reader, is an
exploration of the world of the lost and the damned. In fact, in one of the
collections sharpest pieces, In Hell, the narrator describes the
works hero, Sandra, and the antagonist, Father Harold Blackstone, as individuals
absorbing each others darkness. And in many respects that is exactly
what each of the characters who inhabit these stories does. They are people, who are
caught up, some by choice and others by circumstance, in the brutality of devil worship,
pornography, sexual obsession, and sacrifice. (from "Introduction" to Sweet
Darkness by T. D. Eliopulos)
Rich Logsdon is a college English professor from Las Vegas, he writes some of the darkest
fiction on the web. He has published two other collections of horror: Alex the
Wolf-God and Valley of the Shadow. Logsdon is senior editor of
the print magazine Red Rock Review. He is editor of and contributor to Las Vegas Stories,
forthcoming from University of Nevada Press. Available

Valley of the Shadow - Rich Logsdon
One of House Of pain's longest standing authors, Rich Logsdon, has an
anthology of his great short stories released in paperback.
"These stories are apocalyptic, some
focusing on a rather dark individual who has a life-changing, or potentially life-changing experience. While many of the characters in
this collection respond correctly and intelligently to the challenging circumstances in
each story, challenges which promise enlightenment to a receptive heart, other characters
in this collection fail that test, only adding to their isolation and despair,
occasionally giving in to the basest of human passions.
The stories, while having everything to do with the spiritual
warfare that Paul mentions in his book on Ephesisians, show the seedy, dark, dirty side of
Las Vegas, the city known to be 'the entertainment capital' of the world.
Judgment, redemption, and evil hang like a dark cloud over the
always troubled, slightly dysfunctional characters... Indeed, these stories move beyond
the glitz and glitter of the lights and reveal another dimension of Las Vegas!"

I have, please go buy this!! |
When The Moon Remembers by Brian Grisham
Brian Grisham first submitted part one of his Caffeinated Fangs
story in March of 1999. I was totally impressed with it and when he added more chapters I
wanted them right away. Since then, it has grown into a four part story and has just been
published! You can purchase the novella from his web site. For a sample of his writing,
check out the archives. Or see the full page

Toxic Toons - Art by Eric Pigors is something that
you just have to have! This is a book of his artwork, which is so outstanding, I can't say
enough about it! It's gruesome, it's disgusting, it's disturbing, it's everything a
twisted individual could possibly want! Check out the Art Gallery Archives for more
about Eric Pigors, his work and website. His book is well done, you'll find beautiful full
color and black & white artwork here, all kinds of great stuff. They can be purchased
at his web site by going to the Store. He also has t-shirts, post cards and stickers. This
is one Gallery artist at House of Pain that I am very proud to promote! Go check out his
site, be amazed and then buy his book! |
